Beeston & Return
Nantwich & Return Cruise south along the Trent & mersey canal, turning down the Middlewich canal along fine stretches of countryside. At the Barbridge Junction either turn towards Beeston and it's impressive & massive 14th century Castle ruin standing on a high crag dominating the landscape. Or turn & head for Nantwich, a lovely market town dating back to the Romans, with some lovely timber framed or black & white fine buildings dating from the 16th and 17th centuries.
